There was one selling his scoob on SIDC

I'm sure you're aware once nipper is born you are entitled to a years free dental care via your local NHS dentist, although thats not going to help your present situation

I didn't realise it was from pregnancy onwards

No wonder the dentist won't touch you, he won't make any money

They may have to do - I had a double root canal which went wrong and now I have two empty sockets ! You do right to make the most of your maternity benefits though - get everything done while you can !

Red face

Its the X-rays, anesthetic (sp?), painkillers that terrify me and the effect on the baby Thats why i'm looking for as much advice as i can get really.

Did anyone whose had a root canal find that they were prone to infections where the work was done? I'm wondering how much more pain i can take b4 something has to be done

And frosties, porridge and really soft pasta isn't a great diet lol

Just had a 7'ish year old root canal re-done because it was causing infection, was a bit of a bugger due to the file the first dentist had left in there. Had to see a endodontist who was cheap... <cough> £800!! I wouldn't think there would be much bacteria in the area now due to the amount of Sodium Hypochlorite that passed through my lips.

Yes I found that after the root canal I copped for quite a few infections. Eventually one of the teeth gave way (too much teethgrinding in my amphetamine-fuelled errant youth) leaving what felt like an M12 bolt sticking out of my jawbone which I had to have rived out. Not very pleasant

Just to put your mind at rest.......

Ive had root canal treatment on three occasions.
One front tooth, and two rear molars.

It is no more painfull than placing your ***** in a vice, and tightening it slowly until they burst out of your sack.

No big deal.
