My dental problems over the last 12 months have had a few threads of their own on here, and the problems are just getting worse.

Straight question - do dentists do foreigners?

NHS dentists are none existent around here, so I just visisted my local dentist who now only does private jobs and spoke to the usual dumb receptionist (sorry, but dentists are faceless, you can never have a chat with the main man ).

I currently have a crown with a hole in on one front tooth, and the other tooth is severely cracked. I have a 1 inch long absess under my nose and am swallowing 6 antibiotics and 8 Ibuprofen per day - the absess keeps leaking into the cracked tooth, and the pain is incredible - thought I was going to die on Saturday

The soonest they can see me is 4th June!!! So I have £700 cash here for the first dentist to root fill and give me a 4 tooth bridge. Or more if required. Need this doing by 19th June any cost

Anyone any ideas - bugging me now, this country is a joke

Why is the dental industry so knackered? Cant be money, as the one living near my grandparents has a new 911, and has just bought an apartment in Marbeya

Was trying to scan the xray, but it dont work

Si

Do you not have a Dental Hospital over your way. Based on what you have described Leeds Dental Hospital would treat you as an emergency.

Tony

Went on Friday to a local hospital. After 3 hours waiting, the guy just pulled the old filling out (hence why there is now a hole in the tooth) then said I should visit a dentist

Made it worse really - just want to get it done now asap for any cost

Shame I cant scan the xray as it is quite odd viewing

Will have to ring a few more I think, but too busy at the mo.

Thumbs up

Finally being sorted this coming Saturday - £631 Which is a shame as I had that money lined up for a nice 205 GTi. Oh well.

Not looking forward to it though - ripping out 2 front teeth, then removing both roots and gubbins -

Finally getting it sorted though.

I live near DW and the general opinion round here is that dentists are sh*t It's virtually impossible to get anything on the NHS and it's not that easy (I'm told) to get into a private practise, I'm lucky in that I was carried over from NHS to Denplan, if I hadn't, I wouldn't bother going to the Dentists at all

Just one other point, is it acceptable for a Dental Nurse to "see" a patient? Mine is well nice

Piece of string tied to toothe and other end to door handle of open door, shut door sharply and job done for nought.

Far better and less time consiming.

Do not use pliers unless you are left handed.

All the best
