Business Idea- Help

Business Idea- Help
In a moment of genius the other day I thought of a business idea to make my £millions (evil laugh).
Obviously still in the very early phases and not really doing much about it yet as have exams until end June. Having studied Business and Economics at Uni, it has already dawned on me how absolutely useless these are in the real world!
Anyway, I would like to discuss my idea further with a few people but scared of them copying my idea. For example, one of my mates from uni is 23 and runs two businesses (Owns a C4S CAB, *******!) so has money to spare and I know he would be able to seriously help me, or at least point me in the right direction, but then again he's a business man. I dont know him that well but I for sure would **** over even a best mate for £75K Porsche, let alone the rest. Anyway, my question to you guys is if anyone can point me in the direction of a website or similar with a contract for him or similar party to sign so they can't use my idea and if they do would have to pay me £££££££££££££££££.
Cheers

One of the easiest solutions to "Prove" that you thought of the idea first, (incase your so called mate decides to steal it), is to write down exactley what your ideas are ,on a peice of paper, and include a date. Then put it in an envelope & post it to yourself.
When it arrives, keep the envelope safe & unopened. That way if he steals the idea you have proof it was your idea, which will be dated by the post office on the front of the envelope
business link is a good source of info aswell as mentioned before. My company is a verified consultant with them

In the real world your best bet is to get off yr **** and exploit it straight away. Someone else may have (or already have had) the same idea.
You probably need to be first to market and get a big head start on the competition to make it a winner.
Of course all this depends on what it is
Is it capital intensive?
Are there significant barriers to entry in the market?
Does it rely on a process that is easy for someone with greater resources to implement more easily/cheaply?
etc. etc. etc.
I "know a few poeple" and would be happy to look at it under NDA if you are serious.

If the idea is good then go to your bank for a loan. If your plan is good and you can convince the bank that there's a market etc. then they'll lend you the cash. They're also not in the habit of stealing peoples ideas either.

Cheers Claire, businesslink site answered all my questions really. As for the public sector I worked in the HomeOffice for my placement for a year and know how little work you guys really do but still, doubt I will ever return to the public sector because of all the crap you get and not being able to do your job properly.
Thanks for all the other comments guys
