You could always pop around the corner to Mallory Park.

Go to the Battle of Bosworth field visitor centre. Lots to see and do if you like history, examples of old spear heads from the battle and very educational. They even re enact the battle dressed in period costume at certain times of the year. The nearby canal is also nice and you could take a trip on the battlefield railway line (preserved steam railway). I like Market Bosworth, I used to pass through a lot when I lived near Coalville
