Applying for a bike license
Been driving a car for 4 years now and i want to get a bike.. So I need to get a license..
Do i just go in the post office and get a form to extend my car license to cover bikes??
Or do I have to apply for a completely different license?

Firstly find a training school and do your CBT ( Compulsory Basic Training ) takes about 1/2 day usually riding around cones in a carpark, after this you can ride a 125 on L plates, your next step will be Direct Access, usually 4 - 5 days solid riding/training with your test on the final day, pass this and you can ride whatever cc bike you like and chuck away the L plates. DVLA will send you a new licence with bike cover added to it...

You have prob already been told this but, don't forget to buy ur leathers & boots. and spend as much as u can afford on a GOOD helmet, i had my 1st smash 16 yrs ago, hit a Army trk head on (**** turning right without looking) shot over the bike and headbutted the front, well it took a right chunk out the top of my lid, but my head was still intact and without damage
So thx's to my lid im still here
