Default Does Origin B2 database cover Isle of Man?

As per title. I'm off there in the Scooby in June for the TT and wondered if they include the fixed traps over there?

Hang on, do they have fixed traps there? I can't recall seeing any last year...

Anyone know?

Does the IOM have speed limits, I thought the only place with them was in town. but once in the countryside you can drive as fast as you like.

They have limits in towns, and quite rightly they're rigidly enforced during TT week. Outside the towns there's no speed limit when you see the normal UK national speed limit sign.

I'm just wondering whether they're sneaky like the rest of the UK and have put revenue cameras in just as you enter/leave towns and villages etc.

I know they definately use laser guns for mobile speed checking during TT week as i've seen them doing it. The plod there are generally top blokes though if you don't act like a muppet, we got waved on past a traffic car that was doing 100mph+ on the mountain last year!

Obviously i just want to know about accident blackspots really.

In towns and on some out of town roads there are speed limits - but they're not set unreasonably and there's no reason to break them IMHO.

The major out of town roads, however, have no speed limit at all, so no speed traps to worry about

The police are pretty hot on dangerous driving, though. Don't do anything stupid and you'll be fine.

Hi Iwan,

I've just come off the phone from Origin and at the moment they don't cover IoM, however if somebody can tell me how roughly how many cameras there are over there, Origin will send somebody over to grid reference them and make it available.

Well you're the lucky one - getting a response from Origin.
I've sent them three emails (well filling in their question box on the "My b2" website) and appart from the automated "We'll reply as soon as possible" I've heard nothing.
The first one was January and the others over 4 weeks ago.
I like the product, but support via website is rubbish.

Hmmm, i got an answer back within about half an hour.

If it makes you feel better, i just waited 2 hours to have mine fitted. Drove away from the fitting place and the bracket unstuck itsself from the dashboard within 50 yards.

I'm supposed to be working so i'll have to go back after work.

On the plus side, it was working great for the 50 yards...
