Angry Footballers - namby pamby ponces

The majority of football players are fit, healthy and well built. So why do they have to act like big girl's blouses whenever someone tackles, or raises an arm at them?

Two examples -

1) Makelele - someone pats him on the back of the head, "Ohhh, I have to do a forward roll because it was so painful"

2) Boateng - Villa player dares to swing an arm at him for kicking out... "Oh, hang on, let me wait 20 secs before I dive to the floor, clutching my head"

Both of them are total ponces. Get them on a rugby field where proper tackles are made. Might actually learn something about real sportsmanship, instead of being out to con the other team out of a fair game.

In both cases, the team with fewer players won, and quite deservedly so. People like the two listed above are ruining sport, and should be banned from playing it. In my opinion, they're cheating as much as those who use drugs.

because if you can get sumbody sent off you have a better chance of winning, hence getting paid more, hence getting more drugs and fast cars/hookers

i hate football, i think its over rated and crap, i am in the minority lol

what pissed me off was when i was working fior nissan building the primera and the world cup was on

they said we could stop production to watch the matches
but we had to work the time back by doing over time and saturday mornings for free

now there was a few of us who didnt want to do this, but because the factory mostly did, they stopped the plant

and then all the
"fans" winged like **** when they had to do extra hours to make the time back up

so a few of us ended up playing cards while the games were on, ****e, i dont see why so many people get worked up over it, you wouldnt see loads of pissed up blokes in the pub watching the rallying and then going outside to glass a few supporters of a diffrent team

because i work in sunderland at a pretty big plant, its 50/50 with the geordies from newcastle and the makams from sunderland

when the football is on the radio its unreal

if newcastle are playing, the sunderland fans will boo and cheer against the newcastle team

and the newcastle fans do the same likewise, i just shout non stop and **** both sets off

one of the 1st questions that was ever asked to me when i started working for nissan was "is he a man or a makam" wtf

who gives a ****, puffs

Always makes me laugh is when a player gets a soft hit on the upper body, they collapse in a heap on the floor.

Must be a nightmare for all these footballers walking down the high street, having to collapse on the floor everytime someone brushes past them.

seams like im not in the minority after all lol

theres a bloke at work, never heard him talk about football ever, loves his rallying, has a concourse mk2 escort, apart from him there all footy fans

theres another "footy fan" who thinks i was daft to get a 10k loan for the scooby, constantly going on about loseing its value (even tho the high powerd jdm cars dont seam to lose that much??) and he payed 10k for a corsa sport which is now worth about 3k max

what a gimp

Cool

The Real sportsmen are the Superbike riders who fall off at over 120mph bounce down the track get up dust themselves off and if poss get back on the bike, footballers are real ponces.

There are superbike riders that race with broken bones, WHY??? because it is their job.

Anyone remember the Japanese GP rider that had 24 hours to live after an accident? he was back on his bike racing before he could even walk being carried to his bike by his pit crew. Now that is a real sportsman!!!

Have to agree. Rugby is *far* more entertaining. Footballers are overpaid, overrated gay boys.

I am sorry but I have to disagree with that, if you were at Home Park (Plymouth Arqyle's ground) yesterday, you would see true sportsmanship.

Was one of the most enjoyable days of my life seeing Button pi$$ all over Schumacher in F1 and then going to watch Argyle beat QPR 2-0 for us to win the championships.

Take a look at this site and watch some of the video clips http://www.greensonscreen.co.uk/matches2003-04April.htm

stickymickey,

There were two examples.

1. Monaco V Chelsea and
2. Middlesborough v Aston Villa

In both examples the teams reduced to 10 man after play acting by the opposition won the matches, Hence both teams won. Not supporting your theory that getting the man sent off increases your chances of winning.

My ****. Did you see JR's finger in BSB at Brands yesterday? And he still won the second race!!

A poof footballer with an injury like that would have cried all the way back to his chav mansion, and been 'out with injuries' for the rest of the season.

"Bert Trautmann (a German who had been taken as a prisoner of war by the British in 1945) injured his neck when he made a save at the feet of Birmingham's Peter Murphy. Despite being in terrible pain he continued to play till the end of match and collected his winners' medal still clutching his neck. An x-ray later revealed that he had broken his neck."

what a poof!
