It's a made up holiday that nobody celebrates which is why you don't get a day off moron. Also St George was of Italian origin and never set foot in England.

It's 'made up' in the sense that it isn't a national holiday muppet. One lousy thread posted by fcukwit and a bit of bunting stuck up on some right wingers house doesn't make a bone fida holiday in my book.
I'm clearly not discriminating against anyone on grounds of their ethnic origin either, just thought I'd point out how much of a farce the whole thing is.

I celebrated St. Patricks Day with my Irish Friends and we're all off out again tonight to celebrate St. Georges Day.
St Georges Day is not only celebrated in England! He is also the Patron Saint of the German City of Frieburg in Breisgau. In Catalan, Spain, on St. Georges Day it is traditional for men to give red roses to the women and in return the women give the men a book.
