- it was more the thought of the guy having detected the cop car, slowed down to 90kph (within the legal limit) but then setting off at illegal speeds, complete with the 'follow my car please with its blue neon lights which I can't switch off'.
The worst that would have happened if he'd been followed after slowing down would have been a 'pull', a lecture and a check for loud exhaust.
Now he's lost his license and is probably up for dangerous driving and worse.
