Question

I've got to the point where I am starting
to think of some other modifications for
my car. I don't really want to do huge
amounts to the engine but what is the best
way to get more torque, especially low end?

Mods so far include the Blitz induction kit,
Magnex 3 1/2" round tailpipe backbox, Magnex
centre section.

ideas?

mattski thinks... maybe I could strap a
rocket on the back, ala that fool who won
the darwin awards ;o)

An ecu remap is probably your next step. Unichip seems flavour of the month at the moment, though I've got the Power Engineering Phase 1, but I don't know if they're still doing it. I have a MY94 WRX as well, with Blitz induction kit, SS downpipe centre section and backbox. My dyno graphs are on

I have a d/p with blanked aperture, and my torque is fine thanks!
Unichip is the way I would go, unless you find a cheap PPP ecu!

Question

I was thinking about the falkland downpipe,
or SS one... would this give me an increase
in torque?

I like the idea of the ECU upgrade... how
much more stress does it put on the engine?

Question

oh, btw... I have took the Blitz off and
put the standard filter back on. It definately feels quicker with the standard one.

I understand that the car could have been
running lean with the Blitz. If so how long
would it take the ECU to 'get used' to it?
