Genuine, or a scam? (on Ebay)
I saw this on Ebay. Does it look genuine, or maybe a scam. £45 for a raffle ticket to win a brand new STI. Plus an additional £10 postage just to send the ticket.

It says £45 each and there are only 100 available. Thats 4500 total revenue. They wouldn't cover their costs.
I would be dubious about something like this anyway.

There used to be a few adverts in the back of EVO by a company that would raffle off M3's Porches STI's etc all legit. You don't have to buy tickets off Ebay to do this. They had a stand at Gatwick airport a while back too.

Are you sure there isn't 10x those auctions? Or maybe the rest are being sold elsewhere? Its same as that MGTF on another thread in NSR.
A company called TopPrize.co.uk used to do the same sort of thing. I beleive a few people off this forum won stuff.

I guess it could be something along these lines: http://www.bestofthebest.co.uk
Some AMAZING cars on there - totally legit too!!!
New Porsche anyone?
Have a look at the Previous Winners and listen to the phone calls they got when they found out they'd won!!!

I have seen this kind of thing before, and I know there are legit ones out there.
But
•Why sell on ebay to begin with?
•Why charge £10 for delivering a ticket?
•What happens if not enough people buy tickets to pay for the car?
•Where are the t's & c's
•The website it points you to is not working.
It could be fully legitimate, all I said is I won't be buying a ticket.

•Why sell on ebay to begin with?
Huge selling arena and there are bound to be some people on there who will buy anything!! Do eBay allow this type of sale though under their terms?
•Why charge £10 for delivering a ticket?
Because some people will probably be willing to pay that. Perhaps they delivery the ticket to you in person
•What happens if not enough people buy tickets to pay for the car?
The genuine raffles have insurance to cover this I believe though I could be wrong
•Where are the t's & c's
•The website it points you to is not working.
Not good from a buyers point of view...
I certainly wouldn't be interested in this but will be interesting to see if people bid or if eBay pull the plug.
