holiday / pay when leaving a job
Hi all
Im leaving my job in a month and wondering what happens to any holiday I am owed ??
Lets say Im owed 8 days holiday up until when I leave, will I simply get 8 extra days pay?? or doesnt it work like that ??

It's for you to agree with your boss or HR dept. There's no good reason why you shouldn't get those 8 days' pay. There's also no reason why, if you prefer, you shouldn't have those 8 days' holiday this month! Remember, you may not be able to take the time off so soon after you start with your new employer.
I'm leaving my own job soon (about 6 weeks) and fully intend to take all the holiday to which I'm entitled and then some

Take the days off ie leave early or you'll be getting robbed. Every time I'm going to resign I make sure I've got a full years holiday entitlement in. That way they can take a few £/€ out of my pay packet and I get 60 days holiday a year.
