Chopper Has the world gone mad

I would say that the original choppers WILL become more valuable. It's not madness, it's all about antiques.
Who would have thought Stradivarius violins would have been worth millions back when they were produced?
I'm sure 90% of the original Choppers are in scrapheaps, hence why they do now have value.

You never seen some of the $hit on Antiques Roadshow that seems to be worth tens of thousands?
I agree, £1000 for a Chopper is mad, but it's worth whatever someone is prepared to pay, and right now, that's almost £1k.
I can see why it COULD become a classic if a 70's original.
Do ZX80's not got for hundreds of pounds on Ebay? They're **** too, but people still want them.....

See, here's a ZX80 to prove it

You can get a better 2nd hand Pentium for £45, so why would anyone buy a ZX80 if following your theory

Wow - someone is even selling ZX81's in kit form in brand new condition? I guess someone found a batch in a warehouse somewhere?

yep exactly they are worth what someone is prepared to pay its that simple! 70s style is very much of the moment and as someone pointed out they are in very limited supply, and hey its an investment so long term you wont lose on it.
