Default in car tv tuners ???

Anyone suggest a fairly cheap but decent enough picture quality in car tv tuner/ screen ?? only want it for occasional use for the kids, so dont want to spend too much !! also, is it possible to receive a decent enough picture within a moving car ?? I realise that this question will depend on the strength off received signal etc, etc !! so just what is the proffesional way off rigging up an antenna for in car use ?? is it a case off utilsing the rear screen radio antenna or what ??

cheers,
john...

Dunno about TV but a mate of mine recently took a road trip with his fiancee and her two boys and used a portable DVD player to keep 'em quiet. A few of their favourite movies and some headphones - for your sanity! - and you're all set.. who needs the telly?

Bonkers.

Wouldn't have thought they were very good on the move to be honest. Fixed antennas on a house are bad enough, even with high gain directional antennas in some areas. A car TV antenna will be omni-directional and won't be that good. If you have a poor signal to start no amount of amplification with make the picture better.

Lol, you can't polish a turd.

I would opt for a VCR or DVD player to be honest.

Thinking about it you can buy a cheap DVD screen combo for around £300 and it's removable in a case, as you only need it occasionally. Take it out the car when your not there

Argos have got a dvd screen combo for £175
There's one for £169 but it doesn't say if there is a car adaptor.
(they've got a deal at the moment ... you get £10 voucher if you spend over £100)
They sometimes have them on offer at Lidl or Aldi if you have one near you.
I'm sure Safeways had them for about £199 not long ago.
I bet there are even cheaper places if you do a search.
Hope that helps
