£70 million. Amazing. And he's always going on about the state of Silverstone. Why doesnt he put something back into it. After all, without racing he'd have nothing.

yikes!
70million, damn thats a lot of money for a house, probably an amazing location, lets face it there isnt much room for mansions in west london..........and the market has probably peaked...........like you say, he should spend 35 million on a new house and 35 million on silverstone

Apparently he bought the house for £50m three years ago and never lived in it. Not a bad profit then for 2 years.
Surprised the local council did'nt want it to house illegal immigrants.
Chip.

Doubt if he will either. His lawyers will sort that out I'm sure.

I've been past this place on a number of occasions. It's based near to various Embassises and sort of overlooks Kensington Palace. As you can imagine it is HUGE. IIRC, when the last owner put it up for sale, it originally was on the market for 85 million . Bernie obviously knocked him down a few quid
Its just dawned on me, that he's had to pay over a million in stamp duty!!

£70m is nothing to Bernie. He sold out the F1 rights for £1.5 BILLION.
He has lots of offshore trusts with hundreds of millions in.

Good Luck to him I say. Hes made a lot of people very rich. He also gives away HUGE amounts of money to charity every year, so hes not a ******* by any means.
As for Silverstone, maybe if the BRDC got their act together and actually invested in THEIR facility Bernie et al wouldnt find the need to criticise it so often. Im sick of hearing them bleeting on that they have no money and the Government should pay for it all. Its a BUSINESS FFS. The government arent there to help out "struggling" multi million pound companies!
