it was never gonna happen with Schenker, and this line up looks like it could stick, particularly if they can maintain this material as good as this

its bloody great imo so ive just boked a ticket to see them in June,Croydon Fairfields

Question

dba- I sat and watched Jason Bonham drumming 27 years ago and that was a sight to be seen, even then.

Does it say he's a full-time UFO band member or just making an appearance for this album?

Yes - Reports from the European dates are that the band are on form. They even managed to complete them all!!

I think we have the best of both worlds at the moment - Schenker back and sounding great, and a refreshed UFO. Both playing in the UK within 4 months of each other!

Pretty much what I said on a thread some weeks back. I spent years with John and in fact was with him the weekend before he died.

A tragic waste of talent.

David- No, John used to bring Jason to the race meetings most weekends and always parked next to us.

Occassionally other members of the band would turn up too and indeed other musicians.

I remember being miffed with Roy Woods' blue streaked hair!!

John turned up in a brand new Range Rover once and I was talking to him about it when he told me he won it playing cards.

Jason played drums at an awards ceremony at the age of 10 and I thought wow, especially when he threw the drumsticks into the air and caught them without disturbing his rythmn.

He was always destined to follow Johns' footsteps.

Spoon-respect I am a big Zep fan myself, although i was 14 when they played Knebworth for the last time,so missed them live. Chatting to John Bonham is indeed an honour and a great tale,he was a great musician and a top fella by all accounts. How The West Was Won........side 3.............Dazed And Confused,Page and Bonham rampant,a truly great piece of music.I doubt any other drummer could have complimented Page so well, and played in such a unique style.I don't know anything about the drums, but when he played, you could hear the drums as a separate entity,he made them come alive. With Zep,you could listen to the tracks 4 times, and hear different sings every time depending on which musician you focused on.Truly great band and truly great musicians.

Yes he was a real down to earth chap who just partied too hard.

My one regret also is that I was too young to fully appreciate them at the time and to take advantage of the numerous offers to stay with them at their home. (Who'd have parents?)

I agree with the music too and of course playing a modern cd in a decent system is amazing, it really highlights their skills.

Picked up a bargain the other day routing through the cd's in a store.

The very best of Led Zeppelin- Early days and Later days. It has 23 digitally remastered tracks + videos of Communication Breakdown and Kashmir on 2 cds', all for £1.99
