Anyone with a Villa Let in Southern Spain?
My wife and I have long been thinking about buying in Southern Spain and have been out there a few times in the last few years looking at potential areas of interest.
We have now narrowed down our search to Nerja, Frigliana, Competa type areas and plan to spend a week out there in early/mid July for another scouting mission/relaxing holiday. We looked at Torrox Park last year and the jury is still out on that one...
Question is, has anyone got or know of anyone who has a private villa to let (with pool) in or around these areas that's available for a week in July? We have found some companies that specialise in Villas with pools but we'd rather rent directly from the owner rather than pay a holiday company a fortune for the privilidge of finding us somewhere....
Just a thought anyway before we give in and book at the travel agents...
Cheers,
Russ

We rented a villa on the road between Nerja and Frigliana last September through www.citalia.co.uk (who I highly recommend - used them 4 times now) Villa Hazilla De Raya it was. £660 in July, but inlcludes flights and car hire. Superb villa, great views, great pool, full of original artwork and even a big fish pond! Get in there quick before it goes. Not too convinced about Torrox, some friends run a diving school on the front there. Mail me if you want pics / more info.

Cheers Workshy, just taken a quick peak at their website and they have a fair few available (including the one you stayed in) at the time we want. I'll have a better look through with the missus when she gets home but these are much more along the lines of what we are looking for so all being well we may book one up in the next few days!
We viewed a few apartments in Torrox Park last year - some were really nice but it seemed just a bit too quiet (lot's of retired people etc.) We were also conscious of the fact that German ex-pats own about 85% of the urbanisation and whilst I have nothing against them, I would rather somewhere a bit more 'Spanish' in terms of social setting....
Cheers again for the tip!
