Do you think they sat in the editorial meeting and said, "Right, the report on the MMR vaccine has been rubbished and people are starting to believe in science again. So, what we need to do is to whip up the paranoia again with some unfounded conjecture. Next week shall we do speeding and road deaths again?"

...or maybe the people whose lives have been devastated by autism want to have their voices heard, and not just accept the mantra from the zombie droids who peddle the governments "cheaper option" message.
At the start of McDoughnut i was worried that it was another biased article instigated by Messrs B.Liar's spinmasters, but it did turn out to be quite balanced. Shame that Andrew Wakefield didn't contribute directly, but i guess that the thought police would accuse him of actually having an opinion (let alone evidence)

I'm as against Blair’s though police as the next person but show me a proper piece of science that proves a link.
What annoys me is the way that the populist media can instill paranoia in the public to such an extent that hard evidence no longer believed.
The MMR issue is just one example. GM food is another.

PS I do sympathise with the parents of autistic children. My wife teaches some children with autism and I appreciate both the pleasure and frustrations they give.
