X5's and X5
Posted this more to ensure my account is working ok (had to reset my password just to get on here) rather than anything else; however has anyone noticed just how many BMW X5's have number plates starting X5 followed by something else?
Are the owners trying to tell us something or are they suffering from an inferiority complex?

Its funny, when I sit waiting in the traffic in the Manchester airport tunnels, it amazes me how those who go up the outside lane (and cut back in) are usually driving a German car with a 'private' plate, whats the psychology behind this, do they think that because they spend a lot of their income on a car and adorn it with an identification plate that bears a passing resembalance to the make/model of the vehicle they are driving (I could tell anyway) or their name (I dont care) that they are in some way better than me ?
Dont care if they do, they dont get back in, I see it as a sort of sport, all the better if its an X5, why would you want to advertise that its an X5, BMW put a perfectly adequate badge on it, for other drivers, being in shadow is a clue as well, but even worse why advertise that your name is RON, RAY or MAS, it just says you are insecure and in your mid fifties.

Anyway, that's beside my point. What is it with the Ron's (no offence RON if you're reading), Rays, Dons and Howards of this world. I've never seen one that's younger than 45. Same with Dorothys, Dilys's and Junes.
I'm sure there must be one or two exceptions, but do people with these names pop out of the womb aged 41 or something? There's some sort of alien conspiracy going on here, and without Mulder and Scully to investigate, I think Scoobynet should provide the answer...
