Go to a council estate in Oldham or something and start shooting dole scroungers. Much more fun.

West London shooting School could be an option

p.s. there is no "d" in Pigeon

Or there's a brilliant place near Markyate in Herts. Sorry its not Surrey ! Can get more details if you need them. Have been there myself, and its really well set out with differing levels of accuracy and speed. Great fun.

Be prepared for a sore or just bruised shoulder. I went shooting with a couple of people, who let us use thier guns, ok, I was crap, but it was a lot of fun. Apart from the obvious, be sensible with the gun thing, just relax, have fun.

Thumbs up Ro Man, you should have asked......

I took Ang up Bisley on the clays two weeks ago, was ace, I have a voucher for tuition so I'll be going back....

There are two clubs up there, the rough shoot (which we did)
http://www.bisleyshooting.co.uk
and the olympic ground
http://www.nsc-clays.co.uk/

drop me a mail mate, just don't invite Ang as she's a dead shot

This should not happen if the instructor makes sure the gun fits you and you are holding it correctly. The most common cause of a bruised shoulder in beginners (who are shooting gun mounted) is them holding the gun very slightly off their shoulder because they are afraid of the recoil. Unfortunately by doing this they ensure the recoil can actually do some damage. Hold the gun firmly into your shoulder in the correct place and you should not get any bruising!
