Fiance just had a hen weekend there and they went to the Guinness factory and thoroughly enjoyed it. Will ask her as she said she went to some cool bars and restaurants.

ChrisB - Main expense is price of drink - can vary by 5 or 6 euro in similar pubs on the same street - Some of the clubs also use 'incremental beer pricing' (It goes up in price at 10.00 and 11.00
Also a couple of 'exclusive' clubs where you pay 50 euro in and a tenner a drink

Dunno about places to stay - When I was staying it was work related, so I always left it to the last possible minute so all the cheap places were booked out and then got one of the girls in the office to book me into the Conrad or any other nice place with ***** - Conrad is nice, but I think it was usually about £130.00 STG per night.

The average price of a pint was about 3.50
Maccys was getting on for a fiver a meal
At one place we were drinking the same rounds - essentially 6 beers, started at 28 euro's, next round 29, then 30 ended up about 34 euro for 6 beers!!!! At the 1.40 or so exchange rate thats 4 quid a pint!
So yeah - take plenty of money with you!!! Was a good laugh though, guiness worth doing for the view from the bar on the roof, nice pint too Allow time though as theres rather a lot and the exhibition was a bit disjointed I thought. The girls are well fit though - never seen so many fit asses They seem quite game too, I pulled a local within 12 hours of arriving
LOL!

I always stay at a B&B ("Othello House") on the corner of Lower Gardener St and Talbot St. It has "character" and they serve a mean full Irish in the morning!
Great, cheap food next door at O'Shea's Hotel.
All depends on whether you're after a fancy weekend away, or a taste of "real" Dublin. I've been visiting Dub since the early 90s, so I prefer the older, less modern way
Cheers,
Alex

Go to the 'Submarine' Bar, it's great for the craic & great for plenty of crack (of the female variety).
Dublin is a rip off and that's official.
Fecking BeJesus.

Don't forget - Guinness served in Dublin is about 5.5% - Guinness in the rest of the world is 4%. Guinness will never admit to that, but you do get blooixed in no time drinking Guinness in Dublin
