Pets At Home
Does anyone know a way of writing to Head Office for Pets At Home? I'm fed up of walking into their stores and seeing dead fish all the time. We went into a Pets At Home in Bedford on Saturday and saw 2 very ill fish, one fish being eaten by the other fish and 2 dead fish.
Went into the Redditch shop today and saw 4 ill (staying at the bottom of the tank, scales "fluffed", hardly moving) fish, 2 dead Red-tailed sharks sucked onto the filter, 2 skeletons (!) and a dead gourami behind some driftwood.
Have been in the Redditch shop before and seen an obviously distressed goldfish being eaten alive by the other fish. Informed the shop assistant and they simply hoiked the fish out of that tank and plopped it into another tank with different fish!
The Pets at Home in Worcester fares no better either - dead fish each and every time.
I tell the staff every time I'm in there about the dead fish, but it seems that their care is not improving at all. Have just been on their website and while there's a Feedback page, it's only about the site itself and not the shops.
Anyone have any contact details for Head Office or anywhere I can write to to try to improve the level of care shown to these fish?

=raises one eyebrow=
Really? Am glad it's not just the 3 stores I go into then. Might be worth a mention to Watchdog then.
Have just complied a 3-page letter to them informing them of all the problems I've seen at each shop.
if anyone has any more to add, I'll put them onto the same letter and get a huge missive sent off to them.

Come to think about it, it may well have been watchdog that covered it in the first place! I remember an "ex-employee" telling them about how bad the conditions were. It may have been while they were called "Petsmart"

An update on this.... I received a personal letter back which neglected to mention a few points and tried to brush other points under the carpet. Went into the Coventry shop to get some straw for my rabbits (it was 3:45pm on a Sunday - they were the nearest and it was snowing) and saw 3 more skeletons and some poorly birds.
Sent a 2nd letter stating that I had photographic evidence of the dead fish and have received a letter back asking me to ring them. This will be the next course of action, but it seems their care is useless.

Yep - Watchdog definitely covered this 2-3 years ago. It seems that they just suck at fish.
They also can't sex hamsters properly, but since I made over £200 selling the pups back to them, I didn't care.

....and birds - although they sorted this quickly.
We bought a canary, and it died the next day apparently all the birds were quarantined, and we were couried one from another store.
Scary stuff though!
