Question Would I get done for fraud??

No, I just want to 'conduct' a small experiment to see how corrupt credit card companies are.. I just read a statement that has shocked me to how lax their 'verification' is.. I mean, I lied a fair bit when I applied for one, I'm just interested to how far one can take them.

SO..

What would happen if I made up a total fake person, at my address with fake name etc..? Im not going to use it, the card wont even be activated, its purely for educational perposes

Will I get bummed for fraud?

Umm yes as you will find it says that it is against the law to knowingly give incorrect information on the form, so when the baylifts or please come banging on your door you only have yourself to blame

Well what is the point in this research then, rather stupid idea though, don't you think the card companys would have taken measures to stop this.

No, I think their only measure is to get a new customer. Just wanted to see if I was right..

I know for a fact you can get a card if you are <18.

I'm not saying how.

Erm, they have safeguards against this. But, if you know what you're doing it's not that hard to get around their sytems.

If you are sent 'Highly targeted direct mail' *ahem* then there is reason to believe that the company already believes you are over 18.

C'mon bud, don't use those sh!tty words you don't understand, that reads, "bulsh!t bulsh!t bulsh!t".

I gain nothing from this, purely to prove a point.

If you were to do it and be caught you'd also **** your credit rating up for the future.

Go on - do it.

Yes, but only if the card is activated. Its use to nobody if its not.

I agree its deception. But if they send one and its cancelled strait away, they'll never know.

"twasn't me GUV!!"

Chaos, no thanks, (tempting though it is, ahem)

Glad you saw the funny side given your unpredictability !

You seem to have chilled a little, I must say Credit Card fraud may seem like a good idea but I get the oimpression that it is being taken very seriously these days so I think you have missed the glory days, you may as well do what the rest of the population do and get one anyway, run it up, get another and repeat until bankrupt.

CC fraud not my type, not much gain, too much risk. What would a newbie customers limit be, £700??

If I had plans, it wouldnt be CC fraud.

Or get the 'consolodation loan' to clear the card, and then run the ****** up again, leaving you with the loan and the card(s) to pay off.

I thought of a far better way to get away with alot of money, CC's are only useful for verification, otherwise you are tracable..

tracable=caught
caught=jail
jail=BUMMED!!

dont wanna do 'vat sonshine!

Talking

Chaos

given that you have made your intentions known,

and you carry out your experiment ,,

you will have commited a series of premeditated crimes,,

1 fraud

2 obtaining or attempting to obtain goods & or services by deception

also if do not have the means to pay the card issuer, it could also carry a theft charge...

given that these are premeditated, ie ( you stated your intent here) you will find it hard to get a first offence leniancy plea entered...

do you really want to get a criminal record to prove a point??

not to mention you can kiss goodbye to many forms of insurance you will need at a later date....

guess that scooby will stay a piccy on your bedroom wall!!!!!

why do you think new ccard holders ony get a £250-500 limit??

If you made up a name at your address i'm not sure it would get past their checks.Surely the least they would do is have an electoral roll database.

If you want a fake address check out exchange and mart for confidential mailing addresses.

Why? Life's not any easier in those countries. You still have to work to get anywhere.
