Angry mothers driving my feckin insane!

My mother is pissing me right off.
Im doing my A levels but all she wants is for me to bring a wage in like she did when she left school at 16 the little retard.
I reckon she's jealous of my education, wealth and my own car. arggg, she's being such a bitch!
I would have got a saturday job like she keeps banging on about but thats out the window if shes just gunna go on at me.
shes just a paper pusher and gets an amazing pre-tax £12.5k! All she wants to do is hold me back and get a crappy job like hers.

argggggggggggg. she pisses me right off!

Learn some respect.

Publicly slagging your mother off to 1000s of people is no way to behave to the person that brought you into the world, looked after you and will continue to do so for many more years if you're lucky.

You should be fooking ashamed of yourself - twerp.

Keep your head down and get yourself to University. It can't be far away if you're already old enough to be driving.

Don't wind her up, and if she's trying to drag you down make sure you don't let her. But be civil with her.

How about a calm approach. Try to explain to your mum the benefits of education and how it will enable you to get ahead in life and become a better, more rounded person etc.

Buy her a nice gift every now and again (and after a while of her thinking you're great, point out that if you don't get yourself educated you won't be able to afford nice gifts anymore )

Seriously mate thats what most parents are for, to tell you to do the opposite of what you do.

Does she have any reason to be like this? Are you letting your work slip? Or are you doing well? If not maybe she might think that you are wasting your time.

Explain to her what you want to do, and that you know how you are going to do it and at the end of the day you will make more money your way then hers - but tell her in a nice way not I am better then you derogatry way.

I am so lucky I have reasonable parents and we have a two way respect.

Aww, Poor Guy. If you don`t like living with your Mum get off your fat **** & get out then. If you`ve got a bit of wealth like you say you have stop sponging off Mum.

I`d love to be able to go round to my Mam & have a chat with her but sadly she passed away last year and comments like yours make me mad you selfish ******

Get a life.

my dads cool with whats going off.

all she says is "I bring a wage into this house" "at least ive got a job" etc etc
Im studying so i dont end up in the same ****ey style job shes got.

She goads me into arguments about anything just to have a go that i dont have a job. Like today, she told me to take my jacket out of the bathroom to which i said ok. then she starts shouting at me and going onto the fact she is god and i am nothing because she has a job bringing money into the house. its stupid because im working to try for a better future/job and all i get is abuse about it, and whats even more stupid is saying how i dont bring money into the house when i already have more money than she makes in 5yrs.
and i never as for designer gear or the latest mobile.

she does my head in. wheres my baileys? (BTW which I bought)

So by this rather demeaning remark....... you contribute sweet FA

and whats even more stupid is saying how i dont bring money into the house when i already have more money than she makes in 5yrs
I don't think you can expect much sympathy, as selfish, greedy people rarely get any

must confess, I thought this was a wind up aswell. They are your parents no matter what. How much have you cost them in the last 18 years ? Give parents the respect they deserve. Nothing wrong with your mums job, she enjoys it. Try thinking of others instead of your self. (rant over)

That's called 'normal'.

Parents tend to push their offspring because they want them to do well.

What's wrong with having a Saturday job - eh? Beneath you is it? My daughter from aged 13 had a paper round, various Saturday jobs, bar work and still managed to get 11 O level GCSE's and 4 A level ones, worked part-time through Uni and has now passed her Sergeants exams in Merseyside Police Force - hasn't done her any harm...... so it shouldn't do you either!

Do you do any of the following?

Pay the Bills: Gas, Electric, Water, Council Tax, Phone, TV License etc
Cook, Clean, Wash, Iron etc

If you have some money why not splash the cash and treat your parents to a nice gift, like a weekend away or a night out. If you have an old tired TV then buy them a new one.

One of the first things I did was treat my parents to new TV/DVD/Video etc. It does not have to be big just something to say thank you for all the years you put up with me.

If you are that sick and tired of it move out a live on your own, you sound like you have the cash.

Oh maybe you want to save it though as by the time you start Uni you will be paying 10k a year in fees

So whats the problem with bringing money in if the old fella is loaded ?

Ever see the Harry Enfield sketch called little brother where the little sod gets a **** and then becomes all mature and pleasant ?

'Thats you that is'

Poor Guy,

Everyones parents annoy them at the best of times probably the same as your mates can annoy you sometime.

I lived at home during my 'A' levels and recieved some of the same as what your getting but I have to say I never thought that of my Mum for a second, again like you said had my own car and money etc.

Trust me as I am now 26 and my Mum is the most important woman in the world to me and it really was down to me being a teenager I am affraid.

Even though you hate your Mum right now I really hope you dont in the years to come.

Chin up and live through it mate. It will get better.

Default Poor Guy, What a dissilusioned little ***** you are..

when i already have more money than she makes in 5yrs
...so according to your figures you are the proud owner of 62.5+K. That's either complete bull or you actually are sitting on a pot of cash - maybe that's why you picked your user name.

So where's the problem?, pay up.

In either case ( bull****ter or not ) you are a selfish immature ******.

If it's any consolation, I was sending my Mum rent when I was out working in Bhagdad - probably about the same time you were still in you're Dad's Bag.

Not entirely sure why your handle is "Poor Guy"?

Lack of wealth or maturity perhaps?

Mums are mums so stop moaning and get on with life. You will be out of it all in a couple of years. DL

So let me get this straight.....all those here slagging PG off about sponging off parents not paying bill etc...

Are you implying that YOU always payed towards the household bills, paid rent, and gave up education to earn money for the 'rents ??

You bunch of hypocrits

Anyway, Poor guy, all I can say is move out and go to uni. No mother to nag at you, you get educated, and learn some independance.

OK, you'll end up running up massive debts that'll hound you for the majority of your life and your mother will probably say "told you so", you can't really win I'm afraid.

No one's saying he'd a hypocrite - not really.

But how many people (boys, men) slag their Mum off in public?

No one's perfect. But your mother is the woman you treasure for life. Slagging her as PG has done, is, in my book very bad and not the done thing.
