How to get the car to Norway?
That's it really! Have been working there a few times recently and love the place/attitude/qualioty of life. Ohh and WHAT ROADS with no REVENUE CAMERAS or traffic. Such lovely people and loads of invites to go back for a hol, so gotta pop back withthe missus - but how to get the Scoob there the best way - via germany or denmark or even direct? Cheers

Ohh yes a FWD Volvo would be such cheap fun Gooch!
Scoob needs to get used for the purpose it was designed and the mischief I have in mind - bloody impossible in this prosecution oriented nanny state!
I wanna be Petter Solberg

You can also go Newcastle to Stavanger which may be cheaper. As for speed cameras there are loads, all Truvelo with inductive strips laid in the tarmac so your detector dont work.
I was living in Brevik and travelled the E18 from Arendal to Oslo all the time, must be about at least 20 cameras along this stretch of road of about 180km.
The police also like to hide with their laser guns and surprise you (Norwegian sense of humour I believe!) At least in the uk you might see a little bit of white or yellow to give you a warning. Norway makes you start to appreciate British plod.
The Norwegian police also do mass breathalising where they breathalise ALL the traffic on the road, no messing! If you dont have your licence on you its a £50 fine and if your on the handheld mobile its about the same.
If you are caught over the alcohol limit (which is almost 0) its straight to alcohol prison for you for 6 weeks, after which they decide what to do with you!
Just be carefull! But do take the scoob! just remember it is a legal/insurance requirement in winter to have winter tyres fitted, if you dont and have an accident expect to get the blame. You will need winter tyres for some of the roads out there even if you do have 4 wheel drive. Ski resort roads are usually very snowy and icy, On rain ice you will have NO GRIP unless you have pigs (studs to you sir or PigDekk as they say in Norske) in the tyres or snow chains fitted.
Knowing all this tho i would still take my scoob.
Have a good time
