It only sends out a thread notification for 1 post and if you don't visit the thread immediately you don't get mailed about subsequent posts. I'll have to make a quick bot which will scan my email and automatically visit the thread in the background so I get all my notifications!!

Isn't this a good idea though? Why would you want to be told multiple times that someone had answered the post?

Because it tells you what they posted in the email. Therefore it's easy to watch the thread in your email without keep reloading pages.

Also, you don't know if the thread is suddenly popular and you are missing out on something or the conversation has stopped..
