Why is it people can't drive in the snow?

Downpour tonight in Swindon leaves 2 inches of snow in 5 mins - flippin gridlock - 5 car pile up somewhere, then some prat on a motorbike for ***** sake falls off and the dozy mare in front of me stops and gets out blocking the whole road even though the guy is plainly ok and two other cars have stopped to help him. What the **** he was doing on a bike only god knows.
Every **** drives around 2 feet from your rear end, then some dozy bsatard collides with my bumper!!! Grrrrrrrrrrr!
Anyone know how much the bracket holding the rear bumper to the chassis behind the number plate costs on an MY03???

you'd think in a country where you will get snow every year they could drive in it? nope, they can't, the level of driving over here is sub-standard anyway, but add in snow and they freak! everyone all over the place, no indication, morons in SUV's thinking they don't need to drive at sensible speeds. Scary stuff I can tell you!

Well the VX220 in front of me was well confused. He put his rear fogs on just as the snow started in Swindon. Mind you a flake may have hit the switch, the roof was down! Wasn't the only car I saw putting their rear fogs, what is the thought process going on there?

I drove from Southampton to mid Dorset earlier, it took at least twice as long as usual, I can understand going slow when there's snow, but even when the snow had all gone, why still travel at 20mph???

My personal fave: it snows, everyone does 20mph, and drives close together - ffs it's not *that* slippery - drive a bit faster and leave a gap.
It melts somewhat, then the temp drops to -3. The road's black, so everyone's doing 60, and driving in my **** 'cos I'm not... perhaps all that iced slush in the centre of the road should give a clue or two? that and the occasional wiggly feeling from the car.
Glad I was 'cos I was able to go round the bm coming out of the side turning... his wheels weren't going round, but the car was still coming
