M5 is booooorrring though.
M3 / A303 if it isn't c*rav*n season , at least there are a few sweeping bends & single carriageway bits to keep you interested etc...
3hrs ish depending on traffic / stops

I would prefer M3/303 as well, but then I get bored on motorways. All depends on the time of year and of the day as well, try to miss the rush hours. Takes me about 3.5 hours from Walton on Thames, and my significant other does not like fast driving!
