Whilst I know Coronation Street is only a soap and the scenario has a certain amount of dramatic license (ha ha), you can't help but wonder, with the state of our judicial system at the moment, how many other bogus 'crimes' like this result in people being wrongly accused.

Fair play to Rita, thats wot I say.
You wouldn't catch the little ******* trying to rob the local kebab shop of cans of manky Vimto. And you know why? Simply because of the threat of those oversized knives.
Where was Ritas baseball bat, I thought all corners shops had them under the counter
