£30 fine, and they can make a note of it on a file somewhere.. get done for it 3x and they can (if they wish) make you have a Q-plate.

Incorrect number plate (a transposition error) or non compliant ( dodgy font/size) ?

Regular abuse can suddenly put you in line to be arrested for obstruction or attempt to avoid detection for a naughty thing like speeeeeding. If a nice rozzer was to see you on several occassions or his mates do and they get enough evidence your collar will be felt and a visit to those little rooms without a view and a court appearance so beware playing can burn.
