Basically every car has a V5.
It's a registration document..
Has details of car, ie. Chassis number...number of owners, etc..
Also has Keepers address, and previous owners name and address.
Suppose it's a birth cert for a car.
And DONT buy a car without one !!

yes he has ordered a new one any idea how long it will take. he told me he was not allowed to sell me the car untill he had it anyway. he is also one of my bud's so i know where the car has beeen for the last 2 years!

You need the V5 to tax it if you havn't got a tax reminder form..... and you tend not to have the tax reminder form if the car is not registered to you..... and if the car is not registered to you then you tend not to have the V5!!
