An aerial booster will only improve a weak signal, if you are unfortunate enough to live in an area with a "poor" signal (totally different thing ) then a booster will only highlight the existing imperfections which you are seeing...

If you've already tried several boosters without success then I wouldn't hold out too much hope of finding a magical cure

Apologies if I'm pointing out the obvious to you, but it sounds from what you say, like you've already tried several without any marked improvement. That would suggest to me that you may just be in a bad area. Best thing for you to do would be to try and connect up to a decent, "proper" aerial on the roof, or in the loft...

No easy solution mate - as mentioned if you amplify a noisy signal you amplify the noise too...

Get one up in the loft or go the whole hog and involve the chimney - you can then buy a freeview box (that does proper widescreen) as you have a decent signal to feed it

Some boosters have more than one outlet.

Thumbs up

If I read your post correctly you have a good signal from your main aeriel ?

If so - I just bought a digisender from argos.

wirelessly sends the picture from your telly downstairs to any other box.....

has a scart through connector on the transmitter which goes in line with one of your connectors (sky etc)

plug the receiver into the scart on your portable upstairs and hey presto

It even lets you change channel by using a IR transmitter downstairs so you just take your sky remote to bed
