Question

Im busy trying to polish scratches out the door of my Scoob.(see thread in Muppets). So Im a bit pre-occupied.

She needs tyres on her Peugeot.

Fair enough.

I send her off to CostCo, after phoning them for 4 x 195-50-15s.
Branded name, cheap n chearful, £30 a corner all in, job done.
Just leave it with them, everything will be fine.

Ring, ring, 'They havent got any of them Bridgestone thingies left'.

Typical.

OK, put the guy on the phone.

What have you got?

Weve got blah, blah, and blah, blah.

OK Ill have 4 x 195-50-15 Michellin Pilots £46.00 a corner.

She wanders off round CostCo for an hour, buying stuff we dont need.

Ring, Ring,......They havent done it! They want me to sign a disclaimer because the tyres are not the original size fitted to the car.(the car has had 195-50-15s since new)

OK, sign it.....

Off round CostCo again for an hour.

Ring, Ring, Ive been here for 4 hours and the wheels are still off the car, I am p1ssed off.

Yes so am I, sorry but youll just have to wait.

Ring, ring, They have said the rear wheel is slightly buckled, it wont balance perfect, but it SHOULD be OK.

FFS...Whatever.

Ring, ring, They have put the wheel trims in the boot.

Well tell them to put them on!

They cant, they are not allowed too....

Oh, and by the way, when they reversed it off the ramp a black rubber strip has fallen off from the bottom of the bumper.

Tell them to fix it.

They cant, they said its my fault for lowering the car.

OMG........what a **** up.

Moral of the story, dont let bitches do anything car related!

Ring, Ring, Got a nice 4 foot teddy bear for only £45 plus VAT.

F.......F........SAKE.

I need some calmers......NOW.

Later Yoza.

Yoza, I have never met you but based on previous posts, just go down and lurk, you should get satisfaction. My impression of you is a big monster (with a sense of humour and intelligence, so you dont kick my ****) with 18 watches on each arm, correct ?

LMAO , though, have you ever seen a wheel trim leave its owner at 50 mph ? - they go like the clappers, like some high speed sci-fi/discus/predator type weapon thing.

Anyway, can you sleep at night knowing you have let a rubberhead/windowlicker/costco employee fit your wife's tyres? , they sell beans and tv's dont they?

I think the fact that they refuse to refit them it a bit of boxing clever on the company's part, whay set themselves up for a potential accident, and subsequent litigation?

HNR,

mike.

Ive had a little look at the bill......As you do.

* CostCo is not responsible for damage to vehicle whilst parked in bays.
* CostCo is not reponsible for goods left in vehicle.
* The CUSTOMER is responsible for requesting correct tyre sizes and speed ratings.
* CostCo is not responsible for any damage of any kind caused by the mounting of none standard tyres.
* Customer has requested non-standard tyre.(sign box here)
* Recommended air pressures.........NOT KNOWN.
* RE-TIGHTEN WHEEL NUTS AFTER FIRST 25 MILES OF MOUNTING.(initial box here).
* Torque.....N/A

CostCo will not re-fit any wheel cover/trim for safety reasons.

Just about covered themselves, dont you think.

Added signs in bay.

Customers cars are left at owners risk.
Do not enter fitting bay, any injuries sustained beyond this point are not the responsibility of CostCo.
Warning Drinks dispensed from this machine maybe HOT.

The ones I dont like.....The 'Torque N/A', and the 'wheelnut tightening after 25 miles'.

AFAIK all tyre fitting companies suggest (i.e. disclaim) that you should retighten after 25/50/100 miles.
