Question?

Wasn't there a case some time back of a Japanese bloke in an F40 who posted a video of himself at some mad speed and got done for it on the strength of the video?? Made an example of him and all that stuff.
I'm not sure of the precise situation on this matter in the UK. I would imagine that, somehow, the post could be admitted as a voluntary confession under PACE.
I would also imagine that anyone who saw the video and, therefore, knew it was you etc., could be called as witnesses to a voluntary confession.
Again, I'm on very dodgy ground on this and may well be corrected but my advice would be that if, in theory, you had such a video then it would be best not to post it. Unless, of course, you could prove that it was on a private track or a road where such a speed is legal.

well, they would have to bring you to trial with enough evidence to convict you. maybe it could be done, but if all they had was a blurry home video of *someone* appearing to go quite fast in *somone's* car, i would think it would be quite difficult to make a good case.
