Hiya,

I run a mail order company for Jap Car accessories (Mazda MX5's only though I'm afraid!) and for an item this size and value I'd probably use Parcelforce, though I say so through clenched teeth...

You can probably arrange for Parcelforce to collect from you unless you can get it to your local post office. Their website allows you to 'price' the parcel before sending as well.

Next best bet will probably be UPS but I think they'll be a lot more...

Hope this helps.

I used the P.O to post(airmail) a gearset to Sweden(about 8-10 kilos)and it cost the best part of £30 and took over twice as long as they said it would to get there.£20 seems very reasonable compared to this.

You could try ParcelForce, or UPS, FedEx, or other courier companies, depends on how much you want to spend and how quickly you want it to get there.

Not that simple mate

If you want to send a package outside the EU You need 6 copies of the original invoice (For customs purposes) The big 4 courier (DHL,UPS,TNT,and Fedex) companies have express clearances They cost dearer but the package will clear customs in the USA quicker My choice would be Fedex or UPS They both have the biggest network in the states

Cheers Grunt (DHL Courier)

Question

rb5 286 are you sure that you sent it by swiftair? no such thing as swiftair anymore stopped doing it about 3 months ago. any package that is over 2kg will not go by royal mail abroad. anything over 2kg's will go by parcel force
