Got hundreds of digital pics and most of them have got red-eye problems.

Is there a software package that lets you click on the eye and subtract the red eye and replace with natural?

I've heard that something like this exists...

Paint Shop Pro 8 allows you to paste eyes of any colour over the top of the red ones. Requires some effort to make it look natural though.

Why not treat yourself to a camera that doesn't take red-eye in the first place? Even a £50 digital will have a staged flash these days!

I paid 280 squids for a this digital camera which has red-eye reduction. Apart from barely working, indoor photos come out shyte, so I leave it on normal flash. Needless to say its a dinky job and therefore the flash is too close to the lens.

I got red eye reduction with the editor software with my Olympus camera, however in the times that it doesn't work I just highlight the red area and make it monochrome, which does the job well.

In any paint package, just select the red area and desaturate it. In most cases this is good enough.

Cheers

No camera with a built in flash is 100% successful at curing red eye. You would have to have a flashgun mounted on a bracket to the side of the camera (like the pro's) to eliminate it.

Or...not use the flash. When I take pics in the sunshine, quality is amazing.

I have never had redeye problem with my phone camera either
