Buzzing noise - radio in Fiesta

as title,

every say 10 seconds the radio it interfered with a loud deep buzzing/humming noise.....any ideas?

i am hopefully going to check it in the morning as its doing my head in
any thoughts of what i should check first?

Cant help, but I have this problem as well. If I turn the ignition off after I have parked the buzzing stops straight away...??

you can get periodic radio interference from your mobile 'phone. every so often it checks to see if it can find a base station.

No, it's not the mobile checking, thats switched off.
windscreen wipers are not on either.

Hi

I use to have this problem in my old car! have you tried fitting interference inhibitor (Sorry, i can't remember the proper name, my brains switched off this morning)

it's like a capacitor thingy majig designed to reduce interference, might be worth a look, should only be a few quid!

and there was me thinking i would get sensible answers

it was fine until about 4wks ago when it started this crap, and as a result ive got no radio cos its too annoying. ive tried leaving the mobile behind and it makes no difference.

yes thats the next step fitting one of those er...thingys
im going to pull the head unit out assuming i can find the metal u-bars, and check all the wires etc.

Could be HT leads... caused same prob in one car I had

thinking about it, it started just after i put a recon engine in it....with new HT Leads...

will see if i can borrow a set of someone to try failing the radio connections etc,
