Question

Can you help?

It was a film about a journalist in south africa, during apartheid. He was 'banned' by the government. The only part I can remember is that he had some clothes (delivered?) and when he put them on, they itched him/caused his skin to burn?

I know its vague, but does this ring any bells?

Cry Freedom

Great film IMO.

Picked it up on DVD a while back, after seeing it at school years ago.

Kevin Kline is the journo, Denzel Washington is Biko, and it also has John Thaw in it.

Thanks John.

Have to buy it to watch it again. I remember having nightmares about that clothes thing for ages afterword.

No worries - I think it was one of his children that puts on the clothes that burnt them...

It is pretty harrowing, then at the end it has the list of all the people that have dies in police custody, or had done at that point any way.
