Have the option to upgrade my current mobile phone and as my current Nokia 6310 is pretty scratched up I thought i'd take the option to change it. What phone from the following list is the best phone? (there are others but don't like them)
Nokia 6100 (£28)
Nokia 6310i
Panasonic X70
Siemens M55/S55/C55
Sony Ericsson T610
They are all free to me apart from the one specified. Which one is best and why? I quite like the look of the X70 because its a flip phone and so the screen will be protected from getting scratched etc but not sure it will work/fit ok in my car phone holder plus I have a handsfree kit for my current Nokia and a leather cover.
TIA for any helpful advice

Well the 6310i will definately fit in your phone holder and the hand free kit will work.
Personally a fan of Nokia phones as easy to use, Ive got a Sony T610 as a works phone which is OK but it tends to eat the batterys and can't seem the point of the built in camera, I've got a Nokia 7210 as my personal phone (6100 in different shell) and I prefer this phone, to the Sony one.
I say stick with Nokia

OK so is the 6100 worth the £30 extra over the 6310i? The other thing I am considering is that hopefully they wont want my current 6310 back so can carry on using that for the car and accessories and get the Panasonic X70 for daily use for sticking in my pocket etc.

Supra you are probably very right, I have ordered the X70 as they dont want my 6310 back so will have a new toy to play with
I will probably get very bored with it very quickly and carry on using the 6310 but as its free I might as well have it so I have another back up phone if one breaks/falls in my pint

Nacro I'm not into having the latest phones, never been into that, like I said in the original post my current one is all scratched up etc and the fact the upgrade is free then why should I turn down a new phone? There were loads to choose from but I certianly wasn't even going to consider the ones that were £100+ etc, total waste of money.
As for the e700 that wasn't on the list of free phones.

I have a 6310i company phone, and have just replaced my own 7110 with a new Panasonic x70, as I wanted a flip phone
My criteria was the following
1. Free
2. On Orange
3. Flip Phone
4. Tri Band
5. BlueTooth
6. Camera
I drew up a shortlist of the following
1. x70
2. Motorola v600
The Motorola isnt out until after xmas, so it left the Panasonic, now ive had it a few weeks, after only ever using Nokias, I like it, and the new firmware (when panasonic get their *** into gear) should fix the current problems (of which there are a few minor ones)

I have the 6100.Best features are...
1.Very small, easy to fit in pocket etc.
2.Great voice quality, sounds as clear as a land line
3.Has some very loud ringtones and can be set to ring AND vibrate.Never missed a single call, even in loud pubs.
For those practical reasons its the best phone i've had so far.

The Treo was nearly £70 so didn't even consider it unfortunately. If I hadn't already got myself a PDA then I would definately looked at getting it though.
Anyway me and the Mrs now have an X70 each on their way and have found out the tarrif has just dropped from £8 a month to £3 a month

B2Z,
Well i just upgraded my 6310i to an LG7100 for twenty quid. The LG is a camera phone (including a flash), polyphonic, flip, colour twin-display, photo CLI, java, woofers, tweeters and a paper bag on your head.
However, i put my new SIM back into my 6310i, 'cos it simply does a bloody good job and lasts ages between charges.
OK, i bought a PAYG SIM for the LG7100, and use it as a plaything, but if it is a phone that you need - you can't go far wrong with a 6300i!!!!!
