Tissot watches, any opinions ?

If you like the way it looks and feels then go ahead! I've got around 20 wrist watches, from Casio to Rolex, all bought because I loved the style. I've had a £225 quartz Gucci for 11 years now and besides new batteries and strap (leather worn) it's run beautifully. On the other hand I have a Omega Speedmaster which after 2 years stopped, needing restart a pricey factory service to restart. Basically the watch is worth the money only if you think so yourself, otherwise just get a £10 digital. At that price level you aren't concerned about resale or retaining value, it's all about getting pleasure out of wearing it, and only you can judge that fairly.

i had a "rock" watch, quite some years ago.
- found it in a nightclub, on the floor!!!)
- it was quite unique, but i dont htink they have quite "made it" in terms of longivity(sp) quite like some of the big boys on the scene.
still, they are swiss....
(mind you so is Tony)

I've got a PR50, and it's the best watch I've ever owned - I'm not that keen on watches that look like you could perform Navy Seal standard Ops in them - cos, well - why would you?
It looks good and doesn't say 'HEY HEY, LOOK AT MY WATCH, PLEASE LOOK!"

Dont buy a Tissot for £250.00.........
Look at POLJOT.COM and buy a manual wind, or auto chrono watch. loads to choose from £150.00 - £195.00 for a top spec auto, top quality, different and cheap. If you like Brietlings as I do, you will like their selection of Aviation watches.

I've got the Tissot 1853, had it for the last 6 years and nothing has gone wrong with it, waterproof to 200m, but the worst I ever do to it is sailing. I had a tissot before this one but they managed to lose it when it went to have the face replaced so they gave me this one (still charged me what the replacement face would have cost, which I thought was a bit out of order as my wife gave it to me as an engagement present and it had sentimental value)
