Cheap cool watch suggestions
#1
Following from the thread about Omegas and various other watch threads...
I'm starting to question the wisdom of wearing my Omega all the time, especially when playing sport or in the gym or doing DIY etc etc.
Thinking of getting a cheap watch for daily use.
So please post here your suggestions for a cheap but cool watch...price range £0-£100 say.

bloke,
I have one and it's brilliant, I also own a Rolex GMT and an Omega Seamaster (plus some others!) but prefer to wear the Seiko as it was (relatively) cheap but looks good and is still quality watch for the money.
This is the one I have:

Cheers,

Darren, that's just the sort of thing I'm after, or maybe same design but rubber strap...seen a few on Ebay that I've got my eye on
What about other (cheaper) brands, anyone know?
UB, I think that's just a bit TOO trendy for me

OK.....Here goes.
The best available watch IMHO, to buy sub £100, are as follows.
1. A POLJOT Russian Aviator LTD Edition, 1 of 999. £97.46
2. An Aviator Russian POLJOT Chrono BLK. £98.00
3. A Russian POLJOT chrono W24-h Scale watch. £109.00 (a bit over budjet but worth it).
If you know your watches, check out the specs of the above watches.
If you dont, just buy one.
All on E-bay search under Russian Watch (world wide).
There goes another £300 of my hard earned cash....
Or pick your own by visiting POLJOT.COM

I've got an Omega Moon Watch (Speedmaster Professional manual wind chrono) and wear it for everything other than swimming. Mountain biking, running, skiing, .... never a problem.
It's 30 years old and it's never let me down yet. It's also amazingly accurate - I check the time on it about once a month and it's rare if it's more than a minute out.

bloke,
As stated by yozer Poljot watches are the business, I've also got two of those (an aviator auto and the now discontinued MIG Commander (non auto chrono))
They use ETA movements which are swiss designed, they use only good quality components and are excellent VFM IMO Plus they are a bit different!
Cheers,
Darren.
