Question

I'm sure I've seen a coffee table that can be converted into a dining table!

It looks like a normal coffee table (perfect height for a sofa), but you unfold it and you get a normal height dining room table!

Anyone know where I can get one?

Cheers
Andy

Talking

Only a Subaru driver would go for modified furniture!
Caution: This is a hydraulic cylinder and must never be operated without the weight of the table top installed .
Sounds dangerous

Problem is that I don't have a dining room, thanks to having an integral garage and therefore losing a downstairs room!

So much my idea of a pool table with a thick perspex top, that will have to wait until we get a bigger house!

I don't play or even know where to start with Mar-jong!! But the table my parents have is just a fold down table, so it won't double as a coffee table!

I'm refuse to pay £1000 for a fecking table!!!

Thanks for the info guys, I think I will just go to Ikea and spend £30 on a normal non-transforming table. We can sit on the floor if people come round!!!

Furniture gadgets!!! Does it show I drive modified cars!!!

We had a split table in the old flat - but it was split down the long edge, rather than the middle, so you could shove it against the wall. Plenty of room for 4 round it when unfolded. Ikea job. Sold it to the flat next door when we moved...

Exclamation

We have a full on dining table with two leaves that fold the width of the table, with storage for 4 foldaway chairs in the middle!

We want a bigger coffee table (ideally with storage to hide all the remote controls) so I thought why not kill two birds with one stone! It's looking far too expensive to do that, so I guess it means tackling Ikea sometime soon!!!

What like this ??

A tad expensive but worth a look. It can be found (along with a round one) on page 7 of the coffe tables section.

This is the one I've seen before: Vierhaus Tables

I saw one of these tables in Allders today and they are a mere £745

My brother in law has a round table that can spin round and as it spins gets higher (or lower depending on which way you spin it!)
Could be what you are looking for. I think they got it from Ikea.
