Nokia 6600
#1
Looking to get one of the new Nokia 6600's due to be released any time. Does anyone know the official release date and just how good they are? I can't see a better phone on the market short of the Sony Ericsson P800/900's which are way more expensive.
Nokia 6600 on Orange will be £59.99 on the talk time 120 contract. I'm on Orange PAYG at the moment so easy number changeover.

Bit pants IMHO - only two to go for IMHO are Vodafone and Orange - forgotten how many times people have moaned to me who were on T-Mobile or O2. Hence why you'll find their deals are usually better as they desperately try to get users!

Had mine delivered from Expansys yesterday morning. Really nice looking and well put together but the jury's still out on functionality. I ran a P800 for the last 6 months and the synch with Outlook is spot on. At first appearance, the 6600 doesn't appear to be as well sorted. I'll keep you posted.............

Have had my 6600 on O2 for two weeks!!!
The best phone I have ever had ... and if you know me, then you know that i've had too many phones!!
Very functional and easy to use. the camera quality is second to none and the zoom function is the best on the market. 32 mb memory card is included too - FT and CNN software is excellant.
Definately buy one!!

I've had a P900 for the past week. I did order an SPV 200 but changed my mind and went for the Sony.
Its very good as a pda with good mail and browser apps (Opera is very good), but there isn't a T9 on the contacts directory or priority number setting, which is something I loved about the SPV.
The screen is excellent and there's even a version of V Rally for the phone.
Still not sure what I prefer, P900 or SPV. I love the touch screen and handwriting text input on the 900, also the camera stuff is really good quality (can adjust brightness, contrast, resolution, size etc). On the downside, it doesn't play WMV videos and you are limited to using Sony 32meg memory cards (SPV used SD and up to 1gig is now available).
All in all, I think the SPV is the best phone with good pda apps, the P900 is by far the best pda, with average phone apps. Oh and the screen on the 900 is the nuts
