I've just been on the Sky+ website and it doesn't answer my question. Does anyone know can you watch one programme on Sky while recording another programme on Sky?

I mean can you be watching say Spanish football on Saturday night on Sky Sports and record the premiere movie on Sky Movies at the same time?

yes , that's why it has two feeds from your dish !if you want to record a movie , press the record button before it starts and then turn to sky sports and watch the footie , as i said it's that simple. i do know why you are asking because there is sod all about it in the instructions , a great help they are !!

yes,and you can also start watching the programme you are recording even before its finished recording,and even wind it forward until it catches up................and watch a recorded programme while recording another

Sold, you guys are so much better than the Sky website or the leaflets in all the newspapers, why the f**k are Sky so bad at advertising?

soon you'll be able to record two seperate channels as well....well worth the cost

So on the recording 2 channels at the same time, will this be a software upgrade or will you need a new box? I was thinking of getting one but if the 2 channels thing will need a new box I'll wait.

Somewhere on one of the websites, sky do state that it is all down to software upgrade, and it's "coming soon". It will allegedly be possible to record two different channels, whilst playing back a different recorded programme.
