Cheers Lust..
however I think shes a little late for ordering that stuff for tomorrow - any 'cheaper' options?
I've told her to go and buy lots of cheese, bacon, chicken and not much else - what else is acceptable for induction?

On a serious note then When I did Atkins I found the diet suppressed my appetite that much that between meal snacks were not needed, I just ate breakfast, lunch and tea and that would do me fine. I think she should try to get out of the snacking mentality and just eat at specific times so you body has time to burn off what you have ate earlier on it the day.

Tim-Grove is right. It was the same for me, you loose the hungry urge to snack. If she must nibble then the meat/cheese suggestions are fine, but she mustn't forget her veg. Keeping up a good supply of phyto-nutrients is often overlooked. I recommend a pack-up with lots of lettuce, cucumber, cellery, tomatos, peppers, bean sprouts, baby corns (not sweetcorn!), water chestnuts and a few (few) pickles. Top it off with maybe some smoked peppered mackerel, tinned tuna/sardines or some chicken.
Be very careful with the sausages, many have a higher than expected carb content due to the rusk in them. I recommend turkey (1g/sausage) or Asda lean pork & onion. Also, most flavoured (Pepperami/Matesons etc) sausages (and many cooked and cured meats) contain nitrates (usually sodium nitrate) as preservatives, and these are known carcinogens.
It's just a case of opening up to a new regime, but you soon get used to it. If I'm peckish while out & about I often go to the chippy, but only get a fish and don't eat the batter (well, used to, now I've lost my weight I'm a bit looser). Pop into any supermarket and they're sure to sell freshly cooked hot chicken, just avoid the BBQ flavoured ones. Remember, you can eat as much as you require (being sensible) so there is no need to scrimp on any meal and find yourself ravenous 10 minutes later. Stick to the plan, eat heartilly and be amazed at how the weight just disappears without feeling like you're being punished, like on all the other diets.
Wish her luck.

questions from the fat lass:
can she eat lettuce / tomatoes / cucumber + other "salad" stuff / mushrooms / onions / bean sprouts / peppers?
can she drink low carb beer / red wine / white wine / spirits (told her I think gin / vodka are ok?)
Edited to add:
how about diet coke / other diet drinks like slimline tonic / slimline bitter lemon?
