I wrote a little spreadsheet. It's obviously approximate and if there are any errors please let me know.
Anyone know where I can host it? I'd rather not receive 100s of request emails.

"Are these figures for any beer of just australian pi55? "
you put in measure and alcohol by volume %. pint of stella is 568ml @ 5%
If there are only a few requests, I'll mail it.

only one drawback..
its based on a theoretical average...
and it cannot factor the absorbtion rates for individuals . your alcohol tolerance, food with alcohol etc...
i can drink 6-8 shorts in an evining and feel fine ...
however i know im over the limit and hence never drive
i can have one pint of beer, and be rolling around!!!

I thought about the food thing, but to be honest, it's not too relevant because this deals with alcohol in your blood, *not* your ability to walk in a straight line.
Food would delay the passage of alcohol in the blood, but it would still get there.

I don't drink Fosters anymore.
Since I found out Guiness is quite low in calories (~180 pint), I drink that most of the time.
I refuse to change my name to Guiness or even Stella though!

well it looks good to me - of course it isn't going to be 100% accurate but still good as a guideline. it would be good for a safety breif - "so if you have, say, six pints of stella... anyone know the abv of stella? yes that's right, 5.2%, so we type in 5.2% here.. Chris, how much do you weigh? 92 kilos, right so we type 92 kilos in here... etc etc"
can i have it then?
pretty please

A far more informative spreadsheet can be found here (and on most university intranets). This crucially allows for strategic vomiting.
Usual disclaimers apply.

Interesting
According to that an average sized bloke (80kg) can drink 2 pints of Stella (5%) in an hour and is legally able to drive.
However I'd only drink Stella in order to get pissed

I imagine breathalisers account for this, but did you know that hyperventilating and lower breath temperature work in your favour when taking a breath test.

On average you will probably do say 2pints per hour 20:00 till 02:00 say 14 pints over that period. At a bodyweight of 16st it says it will take forty odd hours to get below 80mg lol! I'm rough as ar$es the next day around dinnertime but there is no way I am four times over the limit!

******* the lot of you, if you even contemplate drinking and driving you obviously haven't seen or been close to the devastation caused by such a selfish act.
