Mods try and leave it here but I KNOW you will move it
OK Rant mode on, my postie completely managed to ruin my LOTR Two towers Extended DVD.
Cheecky sod "posted" that and took a smaller envelope back to the depot saying unable to post.... prolly due to the fact my outer cover was still stuck to my postbox. What sort of come back do I have ,can I get a refund of
em?

Hi Spooks,
You could always wait 'till tomorrow and ram back out the letter box at them!!!
Alternatively, call the company who sent it, ask them about their postal insurance and tell them you will return it for a new replacement. Ask them to send it by a different method (ie Parcel Force).
How's the car these days?
Brian.

I'm fairly sure your contract is with the company you bought it from, so they should do the chasing of the post office. Call them first, otherwise as your local office. You should get a replacement or refund I'd have thought.

Spooks, Being a postie myself I know how frustrting it can be I always try give my customers the best service possible, but sadly you do get the odd lame brain who thinks a 6inch parcel will go into a 2 inch letter box, My advise to you get on to your local delivery office and tell them what has happened, If your parcel has been damaged then yes you are entitled to compensation, and I don't mean a book of 1st class stamps, tell them you want the money it cost to replace item damaged, failing this there is a number you can ring Customer service helpline, sorry don't know it off the top of my head but they should be able to help you, and have a quite word with your postman for future reference.
Cheers

Cheers mate, have a manager coming tomorrow so hopefully it will get sorted out.
Wasnt tarring all posties with the same brush, our regular postie was slagging the guy off too, and they are normally good at not damaging my DVD's.
Ach well cheers for the replies.
