We have a new(ish) female kitten thats now 18 weeks old. She has been very playful and affectionate.
From Monday this week she has been quite withdrawn and has been peeing on our spare bed every morning. I am not sure why she is doing it.
* She has been going outside for about 6 weeks now and 2 weeks ago we got rid of the litter tray as it was not being used. Up until this week she has not peed in the house anywhere
* We got some new bed linen on Sunday and put it on the spare bed Monday and thats when she started. Washed it and put it back again Tuesday and she did it again, so Wednesday I put an an older one on and she did it again this morning.
* Mother in law burned some incense in there Sun eve (it stank and yes i moaned like a b!tch about it) so dont know if the smell of that has given her the hump (cat not the mother in law !!)
* Has she been molested by one of the male cats in the area ?
Anyone got any ideas (sensible ones).

Had a similar problem with our cat when we moved a few months ago ended up rubbing its nose in it and its never done it since. I'm not a cat lover myself and would of prefered to of got rid of it, but its been fine since then ...

If the cat was sleeping in there before the new bed set was put on, maybe she was just trying to mark the new set as being part of her territory. Best thing is to lock her out of the bedroom for a couple of weeks. If you see her squatting to have a pee, then give a her a little scare, or if she's just had a pee then gently rub her nose in it. Its no good rubbing a cat's nose in old pee, it serves no purpose.
Oh, and if she is starting to pee in the house, get a tub of baking soda. If you get it on the pee while its still damp, it will soak it all up quickly and prevent practically all the odour forming. Just pour a small pile on the affected area and leave for 12-24 hours before cleaning it up.

Myloft, King RA - obviously you cant read as i asked for sensible suggestions. I dont expect you to like cats, but i asked for sensible suggestions so next time you heve some similar helpful suggestions shove it up your **** and **** off.
I have shut her out of the room, but this morning, i went in to get a shirt and as i was standing there getting it out she ran in and peed.
Will be talking to vet later, but so far havent been able to catch her to rub her nose in it. Thats the next thing to try.
