Angry

yet again mumptys and muppets clog the countrys roads..

how!! b;oody roundabout ettiquete?

you know the scene you approach the roundabout there are 3 lanes

naturally the routes are

lh lane goes left or straight on... middle lane straight on..

rh lane turn right...

yup you guessed it the old round the roundabout on the lh lane routine!!! jesus its enough to get the stress claims from claims are us going!!!

the other scenario 2 lane rounda bout

you want to turn left but the numpty infront wasnts to go straight over

the outside (straight on or right ) lane is empty so muppet head sits in his left lane for ten minutes and then makes a massive que...

havnt they worked out if they were on the inside lane once they come eround the roundabout, they can swing accross and off to there exit...

really p***ses me off

they need to change the law

Wink

It doesn't matter which way you are going or how many lanes there are, always get in the lane with the shortest queue!

And:

One way streets (which used to be two way streets), people stop at T junction on the upmost left hand side, only to indicate that they want to turn right. You are stuck behind some numpty who wants to cross the whole road, sitting there, waiting, plenty of occasions where you could have turned left to continue your journey, had you had enough space to get through.....

Best one is though, when they pull up, as above, but you want to turn right as well. AHHhh, plenty of space, I'll stick my car where the numpty should have been, and the numpty can wait till I'VE turned right!

I was always taught that on a two car width roundabout, with single lane exits to all directions the left lane was for left turns and straight on, with the right lane for those making right turns. If you have a two lane exit straight on, obviously then you can use either lane for going straight on. For 3/4 lane entry onto a roundabout, you invariably have arrow road markings indicating which lane to use, in which case I follow them scrupulously.

Which leads me onto the fun bit, driving correctly and screwing up the lane hopping of the stupid and inconsiderate. There's nothing I like more than zooming round the outside of a guy cutting across the inner lane of a roundabout trying to go straight on, only to find I'm already where they should have been in the first place, when they try to exit the roundabout. Or on the bigger roundabouts, like Hanger Lane, following the lane markers correctly and refusing to give way to idiots who weave this way and that.

Or on a smaller roundabout where Mr 'SteeringWheelWontTurn' is in LH lane to go straight ahead and you are in RH lane to take 3rd exit off, he literally does go straight ahead, takes the roundabout in a straight line, oblivious to road markings and any car on his right

Seems to be the norm where I live and now I have got a 4 x 4 with bull bars, I am sorely tempted NOT to drop back and give way when they cut me up...........

It's when that happens that I sooo want a old beater car then I'll keep going. If they cut me up there'll be a crash. Same as people who follow too close. I sooo want to slam the anchors on sometimes.

(goes off to scan the 'under £500' car section)
