Internet pricing problem...
#1
Hi,
This morning whilst surfing through a website looking for a new laptop I found one advertised for £172. So I ordered two.
I recieved my order confirmation but no payment was taken. I have now been told the price should be £1,199. Do I have any come back on the original price of £172? Or is it just tuff ******* and better luck next time?
Cheers,
Posh

I believe that if you have an order confirmation then they have to sell you those goods at that price.
A few friends of mine had this when the XBOX first came out, I think they got it for £120 witha bunch of games etc.
The company tried to refuse the order but in the end had no choice.
I'd persue the matter and maybe the details to the local trading standard peeps

Nope, only once they accept your offer to buy at the price advertised (i.e. they take the money) is it binding.
It's happened many times now on the internet and is well documented.
